What pre-requisites are there?
No prior Scrum Alliance certification is required to attend this course. However, it is recommended that you are familiar with Scrum and what a Scrum Master does. That will help you to get the most value out of the discussions, exercises and application to your work.

After demonstrating active participation and understanding throughout this course, your completion will be registered with Scrum Alliance. You will then receive instructions via email on how to claim your official “AI for Scrum Masters” microcredential. This includes a digital badge to display on your profile and share on LinkedIn.
Can I earn SEUs or PDUs?
Yes to both.
If you are a Scrum Alliance certificant, you earn 4 Scrum Education Units (SEUs) toward renewal of your most advanced certification by taking this course (categories B or C).
If you are a certificant with the Project Management Institute (PMI), you earn 4 Professional Development Units (PDUs) toward certification renewal.

Do I need a Scrum certification to take this course?
No, there are no certification prerequisites for this course.
Understanding of Scrum and what is involved in the day-to-day work of a Scrum Master is important however, to get value from this course.
If you are new to Scrum or do not have experience as a Scrum Master, we encourage you to take a training course on Scrum first. Certified ScrumMaster is the leading certification course covering both Scrum and Scrum Master.
Why should a Scrum Master be using AI?
AI is inevitably changing the way that Agile teams work. Employers are increasingly expecting improved capabilities from this. As the capability leader of one or more Scrum teams, a Scrum Master can be expected to lead by example on this.
Most Scrum Masters that we observe and hear from are too bogged down in administrative tasks to find time for actually improving the Scrum Team and broader organisation. In GenAI we see a rare opportunity to shift from admin to impact.
The benefits go well beyond time savings. Using GenAI as a thinking partner is enhancing the quality of our work with more creative options, identification of risks and more. Used skillfully, AI can supercharge a Scrum Master.

How is a microcredential different from a full certification?
A microcredential is a qualification that demonstrates knowledge of an in-demand topic within a short time commitment.
Unlike certifications such as Certified ScrumMaster® (CSM®) and Certified Scrum Product Owner® (CSPO®), Scrum Alliance microcredentials do not require renewal.
