Client: Professional Services Company
The client is a leading financial services organisation employing 3,000+ accountants, wealth management. It is growing rapidly beyond Australia and New Zealand. We were engaged by the Chief Digital, Technology and Marketing Officer to guide adoption of LeSS (Large-Scale Scrum) across all of the product development personnel in their digital group.

what we did:

  • Facilitated leadership alignment on organisational capability outcomes.
  • Led workshops on the implications of LeSS adoption and leadership choices to me made.
  • Delivered training on LeSS and related topics.
  • Facilitated scaled Initial Product Backlog Refinement.
  • Facilitated self-designing teams workshop.
  • Mentored Scrum Masters.
Client: Large Bank
The client is one of Australia’s big four banks employing 36,000+ people. We were engaged by the leadership team within the digital platform group to advise on their organisational design. Goals included improving team and Product Ownership structures toward improved outcomes and increased scale in alignment with LeSS (Large-Scale Scrum).

what we did:

  • Lead a study of organisational culture, Agile capability goals, value stream mapping and skills demand versus team composition.
  • Lead initial reworking of the Product Backlog into a single value-based form.
  • Conducted workshops with the senior leadership team to discuss observations and recommendations.
  • Advised management on team structure and LeSS adoption choices.
Client: Global Video Gaming Company
The client is a global video game company with over 16 studios and 1,700+ employees. We were engaged to guide the start of a scaled Agile adoption in a studio that develops the Massively Multiplayer Online (MMO) gaming middleware powering a product family including a game with over 160 million players.

what we did:

  • Facilitated a self-designing teams workshop restructuring 60 development and QA personnel into cross-functional teams,
  • Guided the introduction of LeSS (Large-Scale Scrum) including informed consent workshops with leaders and overall guidance of the adoption.
  • Facilitated multi-team events from refinement to Sprint Review.
  • Mentored nascent ScrumMasters on challenges including facilitation and collaboration across studios distributed around the world.
Client: Global eCommerce Company
The client is a global eCommerce company with 11,000+ employees. We were engaged to uplift a fast-moving Agile product development capability. We coached a mix of Kanban and Scrum teams as they advanced from releasing weekly to daily closely tracking customer reactions to changes whilst transitioning the architecture to microservices.

what we did:

  • Baselined assessment of Agile capability.
  • Assessed desired outcomes including workshops with management and teams.
  • Coached Kanban teams on managing flow.
  • Modelled the facilitation of Scrum events for nascent ScrumMasters.
  • Explored with executives the implications of Agile for the organisation.
Client: Health Insurance Company
The client is a top tier health insurance company in Australia with approximately 1,500 employees. We were engaged on a regular ongoing basis to work with several online and knowledge management teams. This varied engagement involved consulting with IT management, mentoring and coaching directly with teams and Product Owners.

what we did:

  • Advised IT management on progressing Agile adoption following departure of a development partner.
  • Provided Agile Coaching to multiple Scrum teams including mentoring of their Scrum Masters.
  • Advised IT management and teams on working in an Agile way with a vendor using a waterfall model.
  • Introduced Kanban to an online services operations team.
  • In collaboration with the Project Management Office (PMO), enhanced Agile project reporting and advised on Lean portfolio management.
