Rowan Bunning

I am an Australian pioneer of Scrum, becoming Australia's first ScrumMaster in 2003. Then Australia’s first Certified Scrum Practitioner® (CSP) and Certified Scrum Trainer® (CST). I was hired as an Agile Coach by one of Europe's foremost Agile consultancies in 2007.

For over 20 years I have guided organisations from banks to video games companies to identify and implement the culture and operating model needed to succeed with their business strategy. Through this I have accumulated deep expertise in Scrum, LeSS, Kanban, eXtreme Programming, leadership agility and organisational design.

I am founder and Managing Principal of boutique Agile services provider Adapt WithStyle. I am one of the most experienced Agile trainers in Australia having led over 540 Certified Scrum courses in Australia, New Zealand and south-east Asia since 2008.

As part of an Executive MBA candidate with the University of Sydney, I am consulting to clients in France, India, the USA and Asia. I hold adult learning, Agile leadership, scaled Agile and organisational design accreditations. I was the first trainer in Australia to offer the full Path to Certified Scrum Professional for Scrum Masters and Agile Coaches.

Giving back to the community is particularly rewarding for me. As chairman of Scrum Australia, I led organisation of 5 Regional Scrum Gatherings. I have spoken at conferences in Australia, Europe and North America since 2006 and have led Sydney's longest-running Agile meetup most years since 2008.

My creative inspirations are my wife and 5 y.o. daughter. I enjoy playing guitar, violin and keyboard as well as cycling and running.
